A Country in Mourning

I have been staring at this screen, wondering if I'll ever find the word to express how I feel about this tragedy.  And when I saw this video, I knew that I had to write something.  So here goes nothing.

Last week, a man decided to do something unimaginable.  A man hunt ensued, a city was in shock and we ended with 3 fallen Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers.  They were able to apprehend the shooter, but a city, a nation, will always remember the devastating results of this day.

To the three RCMP officers, Const Dave Ross, Const. Fabrice Gévaudan and Cons. Douglas James Larche: Thank you.  Thank you for your service, your passion, your determined spirit to make this world a better place.

To Danny, the dog featured in the video: My heart cries with you too buddy.
